Sigil Pro is a subscription. It costs $1.99 per month and renews on its own until you cancel.

Canceling

You can cancel any time, by yourself, in two steps.

  1. Type /sigil billing in Discord.
  2. Press Cancel subscription.

That is the whole process. You do not have to email us, talk to anyone, or explain why.

What happens when you cancel

You keep Sigil Pro until the end of the month you already paid for. If you cancel on day 3 of a billing month, Pro works normally through the last day of that month. Then it stops and you go back to the free tier.

We do not charge you again after you cancel.

We do not refund part of a month. Canceling on day 3 does not get you back the other 27 days. So there is no reason to wait until the last minute, cancel when you decide to, and use what you paid for.

The free tier keeps working after that. Unlimited plain black and white QR codes, with the small “made with Sigil” caption under the code.

Your brand kit and history

When a Pro subscription ends, whether you canceled or a payment failed, your saved brand kit and your generation history are frozen for 60 days. Frozen means we keep them but you cannot use them.

  • Resubscribe within 60 days and everything comes back exactly as it was.
  • After 60 days, we delete the brand kit and the history permanently. We cannot get them back.

Your free tier access is not affected either way.

If you want your data gone sooner, type /sigil forget and we delete everything Sigil holds about you right away.

Refunds

We give refunds for genuine mistakes. The clearest examples:

  • You were charged twice in the same month.
  • You were charged after you canceled.
  • You were charged and Sigil Pro never worked for you.

To ask for one, come to our support server at https://discord.gg/KXJTS8U9yq and tell us your Discord username and roughly when the charge happened. We can find the rest.

We read every request and we are fair about it. We are a small company, not a refund maze.

We do not normally refund a month you used and changed your mind about. If something about your situation is unusual, tell us anyway. We would rather hear it.

How fast we respond

We reply to refund and billing messages within 3 business days.

If we approve a refund, we send it back to the original payment method. The money leaves our side within 10 business days of approval. How long it then takes to show up in your account is up to your bank or card issuer, and that part is out of our hands.

Price changes

If we ever change the price of Sigil Pro, we tell you at least 30 days before it hits your card, and we tell you in a way you will actually see. You can cancel before the new price starts.

This text must appear immediately next to the subscribe button, in the same visual block, in normal readable type. Not in a tooltip. Not behind a link. Rules for whoever builds this screen

These are what make the disclosure hold up, not just the words.

  1. The disclosure sits next to the button. Same block, visible together, no scrolling between them.
  2. The button says the price. “Subscribe for $1.99/month”, never just “Continue” or “Start”.
  3. No pre-checked box, and no box at all if the button press is the agreement. The button press is the consent, and the disclosure must be readable above it.
  4. Same type size and contrast as the body text around it. No gray-on-gray fine print.
  5. Send the confirmation message after the first charge, with the cancel instructions in it.
  6. Cancel is as easy as subscribe. /sigil billing, one button. No retention offers, no survey you have to finish, no “are you sure you want to lose everything” screen. One plain confirm is fine.
  7. If the price ever changes, notify 30 days ahead and let them cancel first.
